Training with Greywolf

"Greywolf!" bellowed Tigerwind. The tom stepped forward, looking around for his little brother.

Greywolf woke with a start, he was a new To-Be. He got up and skittered over to his brother, Tiger of the Wind, who was also his mentor. "Yes Tiger?" he asked excitedly. He looked up at him, ready for another day.

Tiger couldn't help but smile. "We're training today, see if anyone else wishes to come" he mewed quietly. He gave his brother a slight push to get him going "Be quick or I'll have you clean some dens!" he barked.

Greywolf nodded and ran off into the cave.

Eagle amongst the Stones - Eaglestone - padded from his nest and yawned.
"Hello." he muttered.

Greywolf almost jumped out of his fur. He shot back wards "You startled me!" he said amused. He laughed a bit. "Want to come with Tiger of the Wind and I to train?" he asked. He was anxious, remembering what Tiger had said.

"Nothing else to do." Eaglestone shrugged, "Hello, Tiger of the Wind. You too." he added to Greywolf.

Tiger dipped his head "Hello" he replied cooly. He glanced down at Greywolf, who was eager to get going. "Shall we go?" he asked. Greywolf nodded vigorously. "What'll we do today Tiger?" he asked enthusiastically. Tiger smiled a bit "You shall learn how to hunt properyl, and defend yourself" replied Tiger of the Wind. Greywolf looked even more excied. "Let's go!" he mewed exciredly. Tiger glanced over at Eaglestone. "He can be a real handful, watch out" he wispered. Greywolf didn't seem to notice.

Eaglestone nodded gravely.
"I know." he said, "I will protect you both as you fight from the prey-birds and so forth." he said, "We'd better go, Tiger of the Wind."

Tiger of the Wind nodded. "Greywolf!" he barked. Greywolf nodded and raced towards him. "Ok, let's go!" and with that he streaked past and ran for the entrance. "Wait!" yellwed Tigerwind. He raced after the eager To-be.

Eaglestone began running. His movements graceful as if he was running with wings.
"Watch the skies!" he yowled.

Tiger of the Wind raced ofter them "Moon of Grey Wolf come back!" he yowled furiously. He will clean dens tonight for certain.

Greywolf stopped and raced back "C'mon Tiger let's go!" he mewed. Tiger of the Wind just stood there frowning. Greywolf waited a few seconds until he too realized Tiger was not happy "Tiger?" he asked. "What's wrong?"

"Moon of Grey Wolf," Eaglestone said, "You should watch the skies. There are prey-birds around. If one carry's you off then you're done for. Also, you should listen to Tiger of the Wind."

"Eagle among the Stones is right!" snapped Tiger of the Wind. He gazed down at the young To-be furiously. "You can be killed be being so foolish!" he hissed. Moon of Grey Wolf was upset now. The To-be shrunk back and flattened his ears, Tiger even saw his eyes water a bit. "I'm sorry Tiger I was just-" "Being foolish!" interrupted Tiger of the Wind. He heaved a great sigh. "You must be more careful and follow orders" he said quietly.

"Did you ever hear the Clan tales of Cinderpelt? The cat who's leg was crippled because she disobeyed the rules and her mentor?"

Greywolf shook his head. "No..." said Moon of Grey Wolf quietly. Tiger of the Wind sighed and eased up a bit. "You've just got to be mroe careful..." he said quietly. "I don't want you to get hurt" he added.

"As do I. Now, Greywolf. You have been warned this time. No further action will be taken on you. Shall we go?" he turned to Tiger.

Tiger of the Wind sighed and looked at him. No more den cleaning I guess. "Alright, let's go...Greywolf star close, do you undertand?" asked Tiger. Greywolf nodded enthusiastically as if he had completely forgotten he'd just been yelled at.

Eaglestone waited for Tigerwind to lead.

Tiger of the Wind stepped forward. He exited the Cave and made sure Greywolf and Eaglestone were following.

Eaglestone followed quickly, his brown fur flashed under the light.

Moon of Grey Wolf raced after Tiger of the Wind. Finally Tiger stopped near a valley. "Catch something, show me what you know" he commanded. He gazed down at the To-Be. Greywolf stared back and smiled "Okay Tiger, watch this!" he mewed before dashing off. Tiger couldn't help but smile. "Will he ever grow up?" he asked amused.

"When he realises how irrational he is acting, then maybe. Until then, no chance." Eaglestone lay down, his eyes on the sky.

Tiger too glanced over his shoulders. "Well, he hasn't been a To-Be very long...He's got alot to learn" said Tiger. His gazed flicked back to Greywolf who was runnning clumsily after a rabbit. He sighed and raced down towards him. "No no no, not like that, you must first coat yourself in mud to hide!" said Tiger. greywolf looked at him "Mud? but My fur is so clean!" he protested.

"You'll get muddy or you'll not get trained. Choose." Eaglestone said harshly. "You won't need your fur if you die of starvation."

Greywolf looked up at him shocked. "I....OK..." he said submissively. he rolled into the mud until he was covered, and looked disdainfully at his dirty fur.
